Additional Match Considerations
In the singles competition, arranging a marker is recommended, but not compulsory. Without a marker, if an end cannot be agreed upon, it will be deemed tied and not replayed.
Players must conform with social distancing guidelines and all other current Government and JMC advice. Please ensure that you are familiar with these measures and have read the JMC Covid notes that are displayed in the equipment shed.
The mat is to be placed by one lead only throughout the game. When that lead loses an end, he or she will place the mat at a position of the opponents choosing. The nominated ‘lead’ will be determined by agreement before the start of the game.
Each lead must carry their own jack with them if it is not in use on that end. Only leads to touch jacks and then, only their own jacks.
Markers must not touch jacks and bowls with their hands. Jacks to be set with feet.
