Iris

This is Jan's tribute to Iris, who I know we'll greatly miss as she was a vibrant lady.
Iris
Every club has got one but not quite like ours
Ours is a special one, a one off we are sure
She's a comic, amusing but serious as well
She can tell a joke and act the goat and play bowls quite well
A lot of bowlers who are here today will know exactly what I say
The Co-op has even got a shot called "doing it the Iris way"
She had dark days that only close friends ever saw
She missed her Ron, an open wound and still quite sore
She covered it up, so few would ever know,
Dark days, quiet days would come and go.
She met a companion, friend to share her life,
An odd mix of personalities but together they enjoyed that life.
Sharing and caring as the saying goes
Fun and laughter will live on in her name
I know lots of clubs feel the same.
Fun and laughter on and off the green
The funny walk, the micky taking had to be seen.
How to end this, it's easy to say she will be missed, but always remember this,
