Caer Glow and Co-op Bowling Clubs Rink Bookings

Please read the instructions at the foot of this page before making a booking.
​By making a booking you are agreeing to follow these instructions which are in place to comply with Government, governing body and local association guidance on using outdoor sports facilities.

Booking Rinks

• Rinks Booking sheets for available weeks are posted below.
• You may book a maximum of two playing slots of up to 90 minutes each in any week (this will be reviewed based on the demand we witness).
• Those who are able to do so are encouraged to book afternoon slots, leaving evening slots free for those working.
• Bookings received by email will be confirmed by a return email as soon as we’re able. Telephone bookings will be accepted, but bookings by email, SMS or Whatsapp are preferred.
• Tuesday & Thursday afternoons are reserved for members who are shielding.
• Bookings will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Only go to the club when you have a confirmed booking.
• ​Should you need to cancel a booking please send a mail or message so that the slot can be freed for another to use.

​Making A Booking

Be sure you have a gate key before making a booking. You are responsible for opening and securing the gates before & after play.

• In the tables below, find the slot you wish to book, and an alternative.
• send a mail,  (with date & time you wish to book along with your name) or call, SMS or Whatsapp on 07718 692 193.
• The booking will be entered and you will receive a confirmation mail or telephone call.
• The confirmation mail will include mandatory instructions on play & conduct, telephone confirmations will highlight the notice boards showing the same information.

Important

The importance of following Government, Governing Body and Club guidelines cannot be over-stressed. Failure to abide by these instructions could lead to playing rights being withdrawn from individuals or the playing facility being withdrawn in total.

Important Information

The information provided here is accurate as at the time of writing, but users of the green must comply with any government or governing body announcement which may supersede or contradict these instructions.
​It is essential that all players comply with these instructions.  The green may be closed without notice, for example, if government policy changes.

Key Messages

Do NOT go to the club :

• If you have Covid-19 symptoms,
• If someone in your household has Covid-19 symptoms,
• Unless you have a confirmed rink booking.

Clubhouse & Changing Rooms ARE CLOSED.Maximum of SIX players per rink.Maximum TWENTY-EIGHT players on the premises.Only alternate rinks in use.No play outside bookable hours.Observe ‘lockdown’ hygiene guidelines :

• Wash your hands
• Wipe surfaces before & after you touch them
• Wipe mats & jacks before and after use.

Before Setting Off

Take your club gates key.Travel alone or with players from your own household.Dress ready for play, club changing facilities are closed.

At The Club

Use only the cleansers and hand-wash gels provided.Use of face masks and other personal protection is your personal choice.Play on any rink is limited to either A MAXIMUM OF SIX PLAYERSSanitise all surfaces you touch, eg padlocksTAKE ALL RUBBISH AWAY WITH YOU

Before Play

​Read the notice board for latest play updates.Change shoes immediately before playingWash hands using gel provided.Use provided cleaning solution and wipes to clean the jacks and mats.

Whilst Playing

​Adhere to Social Distancing rules through-outTo minimise surface contact, it is strongly recommended that

• A mat is left in place at both ends, only one person to touch mat.
• Leave a jack at both ends, to be placed using feet for the next end.
• Only one person to touch the jack

Do not encroach on rinks which have been left idleDo not handle anyone else’s bowling equipment.No shaking of hands, high fives etc.

After Playing

Clean jacks and mats with cleansers & wipes provided.Sanitise all surfaces you have touched.If last to leave, lock gates & equipment shed
