Join Us In 2025
Are you looking forward to the freedom to summer days ? You might be looking for a new outlet or looking to improve your well being. Try taking up a sport that involves enjoyment of the open air, fun, competitiveness and making new friends.
We are looking for new members to join our bowls club and would like to invite you to join us; families and individuals of all ages are all welcome and no experience is necessary. We also have a clubhouse providing refreshments and a bar. During the winter period we continue playing (short mat) bowls indoors and have social evenings, so we cater for you all year round.
We have specific taster sessions/open days planned for Sunday 20th April (12pm-4pm), Wednesday, 30th April (6pm-8pm), Wednesday, 14th May (6pm-8pm) and Bank Holiday Monday 26th May (12pm-6pm) which all include free coaching and use of equipment. All you'll need to bring is a pair of flat-soled shoes.

There's Always A Warm Welcome At The Co-Op

We're a mixed bowls club playing friendly games at the weekends, Weekday Triples and Glevum League matches but we're also competitive enough in wanting to win. Along with this, the Ladies take part in Ladies' League on Tuesdays and the men in the County Bowls League on Sunday mornings.
Captains of the MonthWe don't have a designated Captain for our friendly games but members take it in turns to arrange these games.

Bowls CoachingWe now have a Bowls coach who has qualified with Bowls England who can offer coaching sessions for beginners’ level or for bowlers with up to 3 years experience.

Touring SidesIf you're thinking of a bowls tour in Gloucestershire we're looking forward to hosting you. There are plenty of local hotels to stay in and we are very close to tourist attractions such as Gloucester Docks, Gloucester Cathedral, The Royal Forest of Dean and the Cotswolds.
